A luxury Irish candle brand, the name Sómas translates directly to mean 'Ease' or 'Comfort' with every scent in the range, chosen to capture the creator’s personal memories of places, people or events.
The brief
With 10 different products in the collection, the challenge here was to efficiently produce 10 different cartons each with a unique colour pallet reflecting the unique scent.
The high-quality range of cartons needed to also reflect the values and sensibilities of our client. We were also delighted to be able to engage with Sómas to help achieve the brands sustainability goals. We can print on recycled and/or recyclable materials using vegan inks with a range of fit for purpose yet recyclable varnishes available. Added to our ability to produce only the volumes that are required and thus eliminate obsolescence, CoLab are well positioned when sustainability is high on the agenda.
What we did
CoLab are perfectly positioned to fulfil this requirement to the highest possible standards. With the best print quality a given, and no need for printing plates, CoLab were able to make the achievement of a beautiful and unique range of boxes at a reasonable cost a reality.
The result of our engagement with Sómas was a range of 10 cartons that not only were efficient to produce but could be produced in a sustainable way. The high number of SKUs on the collection was perfect for our workflow and the result was a high-quality range of cartons that reflected the values and sensibilities of our client.
